I’d give in
Time and time again
To keep your engine running
I don’t know why
All I know is
I would starve myself
Before I’d let you go hungry
And every last drop
Of my half-full cup
That you refer to as helf-empty
I saved for you
I’ve always been willing
To give you every last piece of me
Without expecting anything in return
Little did I know
Your hunger was a bottomless one
And I would run out of things to give
Time and time again
To keep your engine running
I don’t know why
All I know is
I would starve myself
Before I’d let you go hungry
And every last drop
Of my half-full cup
That you refer to as helf-empty
I saved for you
I’ve always been willing
To give you every last piece of me
Without expecting anything in return
Little did I know
Your hunger was a bottomless one
And I would run out of things to give

An amazingly penned-down poem. I love the way you’ve conveyed a powerful message with simple language. It is amazing, really.
By the way, I also write poems, and it’d be great if you drop by my blog.
