monthly favorites; August

Hi there, Today is officially the last day of August and also the last day of summer holiday for me. Though I didn’t really took any time off because I worked all summer, I’m gonna miss these more relaxed times. I don’t feel ready for the school stress to kick in again!

This one is SO EASY, no second guessing here! Definitely midnight sky by Miley Cyrus. I’m so glad she’s releasing new music, it truly makes my heart so, so happy. If this song indicates the sound of her new album I’m very excited to hear more!

BOOK

My poetry bundles are one of my most beloved possessions. I could read these books a million times and still find new hidden messages and meanings behind the words of a poem.
I believe that how you read a poem depends on your state of mind and current experiences you’ve been through. That’s why sometimes I simply like a poem but don’t think about it twice and another day I read the poem again and it can give me the biggest comfort. Crazy how art can do that to and for us. This month I’ve reread Wild Embers again. Such a beautiful book.

MOVIE

If Midsommer is the best movie I’ve watched this month? I’m not sure. But it defenitely is the weirdest/ confusing/ brain buzzing movie I’ve watched in a while. It’s not a bad movie though! I just really needed some time afterwards to wrap my brain around what I’d just watched.
If you’re a fan of horror or psychological thrillers I’d recommend this movie.
