When I first heard about an upcoming movie starring Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, I knew I had to see it! And so I did. The movie
A Simple Favor is one I’ll remember. The trailer left me a little in the dark as I wasn’t sure what to expect. Don’t get me wrong, I like that way better than a trailer that gives the whole movie away. I went to the movie openminded, but never expected this to be the story!
The movie is about 2 young moms. Stephanie is a single mother who has a vlog for parents. The other mother Emily is more secretive. Her son goes to the same elementary school as Stephanie’s son. The two boys want to have a playdate and this is when Emily and Stephanie their paths cross.
Apart from being mothers, they couldn’t be more different from each other. Still, it turns out they get along quite well.
Everything changes when Emily suddenly disappears without a trail. Through her vlog and with help from Emily’s husband and the police, Stephanie tries to find Emily. On her journey trying to find Emily, Stephanie discovers much about Emily’s dark past. Maybe Stephanie was better of not befriending Emily at all…
I LOVED THIS MOVIE!
I was not sure what to expect from this mystery thriller and afterwards… I’m still not sure what to think of it! This movie is absolutely mind-blowing and at times very funny. I definitely recommend this exciting and fun movie!
(Seriously, the end will leave you speechless.)
