As sunlight kisses my face
As the light from the sun burns my eyes
I wake up annoyed
And the bird sings its morning song
A screaming bird outside
I know a new day has begun
I want to cover the daylight
I get out of bed
I fall out of bed
And watch people pass by

Saving the sweetest parts for last

Then I call my mommy

is all I have to say
Because it’s what she wants to hear

I’m ready for today
Another endless day
It’s going to be fun
So many hours to fill
